School Improvement Plan

Goal #1: This will become the goal and rationale statement of your SIP.

Our reading focus is to increase student achievement in early literacy skills.  These foundational skills are early predictors for reading success in later grades.   We will meet this goal through parent engagement, explicit instruction and guided practice. By the end of kindergarten, 85% of our students will score in the late emergent or higher categories.   Our goal is for 85% of the students in the first grade to score in the probable reader category. By the end of the school year, 70% of students in grades two through five will be at a Percentile rank of 40 or above on the STAR Reading assessment.

Goal #2: This will become the goal and rationale statement of your SIP.

Our math goal is to increase overall math performance at all grade levels.  By the end of Kindergarten, 85% of our students will score at the progressing level or higher on the district math assessment.  By the end of grade one, 75% of students will score at the progressing level or higher on the district math assessment. By the end of the school year, 68% of students in grades two through five will be at a Percentile rank of 40 or above on the STAR Math assessment.

Goal #3: This will become the goal and rationale statement of your SIP.

Our goal for Eden Park is to promote positive social emotional health for our students.   The aim is to work with community organizations, staff, students and families to educate all on positive and healthy coping strategies for dealing with negative situations.  We will track office referral and risk assessment data, with the hopes of a decrease of 10%.
